The Pursue Unity Walk is the City of Chicago, and Pursue Scholars, at their very best. A wide and diverse array of volunteers walk or provide support for the single cause of helping students afford and achieve their academic goals, discover and develop the many gifts that God has given them, deepen their walk with Jesus as they learn how to give more of themselves to God and their community, and ultimately spread light in a world where darkness threatens daily to crowd out love, light and truth. As we walk as a family on this special event, we join with all those in the City and around the world who in similar ways harness what Abraham Lincoln called “the better angels of our nature”, helping to build a more cohesive, loving society for all children big and small in which diversity is treasured as a virtue and never feared as a threat.
